Spaghetti with tomato sauce

il mio amico Julien mi ha detto che per fare la pasta ci vuole troppo tempo. Ecco qui la ricetta per farne un piatto strepitoso in poco tempo.

my friend Julien thinks that it’s hard to make a plate of pasta in little time. Here is a recipe to make a great one in a few minutes. (you can skip the basil’s part)

taglia le cipolle finemente/ slice thinly the onions

lava i pomodori e tagliali a concassè/ wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces

tieni il picciolo/ keep the green part (petiole)
fai soffriggere le cipolle in olio d’oliva e aggiungi un po’ di basilico e i piccioli (e uno spicchio d’aglio se vuoi)/Brown the onions in olive oil and add some basil (and a clove if you like it) and the petioles

pesta il basilico in un mortaio con sale, pepe e olio/ in a pestle crush the fresh basil with salt and pepper and olive oil

aggiungi i pomodori al soffritto e fai cuocere per 15 minuti circa/put the tomatoes in the pan for 15 minutes
fai bollire l’acqua e salala/boil the water and add salt
butta la pasta e scolala 3 minuti prima del necessario per ultimare la cottura nella padella del sugo/put the pasta into the boiled water and take it out 3 minutes before to finish the cooking in the sauce’s pan

versa la pasta nel sugo/put the pasta in the sauce’s pan

falla saltare per amalgamare gli ingredienti/Sautè the pasta in the pan to mix the ingredients
aggiungi il basilico pestato. Falla riposare nella padella per un minuto e poi servila/put the basil into the pan. Leave it in the pan for a minute before serving it
