Il Nobu di Malibu si è spostato dal country mart alla spiaggia. Quando, passando sulla PCH, l’ho visto sono rimasta folgorata: fantastico! Avevo proprio voglia di un bel ristorante sull’acqua…Nel week-end è stato impossibile trovare un tavolo, ma ieri…temperatura ideale, il frangersi delle onde e luci soffuse pronta per i miei tacos di rib-eye! Di fianco a me Courtney Cox e nuovo compagno. Qui i vips girano indisturbati forse perchè ce n’è una concentrazione pazzesca. A un certo punto tre bimbi si avvicinano al suo tavolo, danno in mano l’iphone a lui e si fanno scattare una foto con lei. Alla fine controllano il risultato insieme a loro, sorridenti e carini. Sto per finire la mia cena quando si sente un uomo, che ha appena raggiunto il tavolo di fianco al mio, inveire contro il governo. E’ chiaramente un repubblicano e parla “male” di Obama. Diventiamo amici e uniamo i tavoli. Gli americani sono sempre molto curiosi. Ti chiedono subito cosa fai per vivere e ti raccontano di loro. Parliamo di politica americana ed europea. Alla fine mi invitano al party d’inaugurazione di una nuova casa a Malibu e a lezione di ballo (in cui mi dicano si sudi tantissimo) ogni mattina al country mart. Per stamattina salto, magari domattina convinco Dominique a venire con me!

Nobu Malibu has a new location right on the beach. When I saw it, driving on the PCH, I was so content to have finally a great restaurant facing the water. During the week-end it was impossible find a table, but yesterday finally….a table outside, the sound of the ocean, a warm temperature and candles, ready for my rib-eye tacos!
I recognized Courtney Cox with her new boyfriend at the table closed to mine, but here it’s so easy meeting celebs. They live all in the same place so they can live normal life without paying attention to anyone. At one point, three kids from another table joined them for a picture. They gave the iPhone to him and posed with her. Then they checked the result with them and, really happy, left them alone. I was finishing my dinner when, from another table, I heard a drunk man talking mad about the government. He’s a republican against Obama. We became friends and moved the tables closer. The americans are so curious people. Their first question is always “what’s your job?”. We talked about american and international politics. Before leaving they invited us to a housewarming party and to a dance class every morning at the country mart. Today I’m going to skip it, maybe tomorrow I’ll try to convince Dominique to come with me!
